SO. This morning has been eventful. Got in a fight with an orange. They're making those peels too thick, I should comment! But it tasted so sweet afterwards since I won. Ever notice when eating oranges that when you get done with a piece, you look around for where you set the other half of it, and then realize you'd just eaten it? That always happens to me. At least I'd like to think there isn't a section in my room with died up halves of oranges somewhere.
Today I set a goal to read the first Act of King Lear at least. I really do need to start reading that play. I mean I know I'll get caught up in the reading and that I'll probably enjoy it, but why do I continue to avoid it? Is it 'cause I'll have to think? That doesn't speak well for me, does it? Haha.
I got so so excited Friday. Rana and I went to Asia Bowl for lunch and while we were waiting for our food, I was looking at their menu and saw that they sell Bento Boxes! Bento has become my newest obsession since I saw one in a boredom-fueled search of random themes on flickr. I'll put a picture of one up.
I don't know how Asia Bowl arranges them, though. In fact, I'm probably getting my hopes up too high, but nonetheless, they sound delicious even if the presentation isn't as cute or creative as I might like. For example, one of them contains beef teriyaki ribs. Mmm.
I think, in an effort to find other things to do besides my homework, I'll trek up to Albertsons or Kroger and get some teriyaki noodles they sell for about a dollar. They looked pretty scrumpteous last time I passed them by searching for Spaghetti-O's.
I guess I've been in a Jap-pop mood as of late. What with the bento box obsession and my recent interest in anime movies. I'm downloading the critically-acclaimed movie Paprika as I type. I like them mainly because the Japanese, with a culture so embedded in cartoons, have evolved to create spectacularly colorful and creative wonders of animations. It's really breathtaking. As one critic for the NY Times put it, the Japanese have reached to the moon with their animations, whereas America is still playing in the sandbox.
I'll post my own thoughts on the movie after I've watched it.
P.S. I finally got my speakers to stop echoing every sound I listen to. Thank you Yahoo! Answers. (^__________________^);;;>
